Hutchison Ports Duisburg connected with China via the Silk Road

With the arrival of these trains, Hutchison Ports Duisburg now also connects China and Western Europe with the fast route via land. The terminal is already optimally located for connecting the region with the rest of the world via the sealanes. The inland terminal serves as one of the extended gates within ECT’s European Gateway Services network. The inland terminal is connected daily by barge and by rail with the deep-sea terminals of ECT and other terminals in Rotterdam and Antwerp.

Situated directly on the Rhine, Hutchison Ports Duisburg has almost one kilometre of quay with four gantry cranes and two rail tracks of 700 metres. At Hutchison Ports Duisburg, customers benefit from a complete range of logistics services. These vary from the temporary storage of full containers, a dangerous goods depot and a fully-fledged empty depot (including cleaning, maintenance and repairs) to the on-demand pre-transport and post-transport of containers right up to the customer's doorstep.
