Your cargo quickly to (Southern) Germany
The consequences of the event in the Suez Canal will remain noticeable for a while. In the media, the focus is on the handling of vessels in European seaports. The crux, however, lies in serving the customers in the hinterland as well as possible, by ensuring that export containers do not miss their connection and that import cargo is available in the warehouses as quickly as possible.

EGS now also calls at Regensburg; Southern Germany increasingly served
Rotterdam, March 4, 2021 - European Gateway Services (EGS) is further expanding its network in Southern Germany. With the new connection between Rotterdam and Regensburg in Bavaria, a fourth destination is added to the EGS network in Southern Germany. Munich, Nuremberg and Stuttgart (Kornwestheim) were already part of the EGS network. EGS is the transport product of Hutchison Ports ECT Rotterdam.

Your cargo, safe & secure
You do not want your valuable cargo to disappear because containers are opened during transport at railway yards or company sites. European Gateway Services (EGS) therefore offers its customers extra security.Almost all wagons that EGS uses in its network have so-called security bars.

All EGS freightwagons equipped with silent brakes
Nearly 100 percent of rail freightwagons will have silent brakes by 2025; this is the result of European legislation. A great ambition! Much better, however, is that European Gateway Services (EGS) already operates these wagons between Rotterdam and Venlo and between Rotterdam and Southern Germany since 2014.

Rotterdam Corridor: Reliable and fast handling with Fixed windows
For more than two years, Danser Group and European Gateway Services (EGS) have been connecting both the ECT Euromax and ECT Delta terminal of Hutchison Ports ECT Rotterdam on the Maasvlakte with terminals and empty depots in the Waalhaven and Botlek area, including those of the Waalhaven Group and the Kramer Group. The Rotterdam Corridor has a fixed and very reliable (99%) timetable based on fixed windows at the ECT terminals. The Rotterdam Corridor also has fixed connections to RWG and APMT on the Maasvlakte.

High reliability of Limburg Express requires expansion!
For some time already, European Gateway Services (EGS), Barge Terminal Born and the Danser Group have successfully joined forces in the Limburg Express. For the last two years, the Limburg Express has been maintaining a fixed barge connection between Born, Venlo and the ECT Delta terminal in Rotterdam. The partners would now like to scale up to Limburg Express 2.0, in which an additional ship will be deployed that also calls at other terminals in Rotterdam.
